Have you always wanted to try rock climbing? Our Intro Plus lesson offers professional instruction and covers everything a first time climber needs to know!

We will go over how to use our belaying system and how to tie into a climbing harness. Our instructors will take you through some basic climbing techniques, explain climbing terminology, hold types, and help you with route selection.  Bouldering (climbing without ropes) will also be explored in more detail and your instructor will be on hand to answer questions and give advice throughout  the duration of the lesson. There is also time set aside at the end of the lesson to help focus on any specific skills or questions you might have. We look forward to getting you started on your climbing journey!

Instructors

Keisha – Saturday intro Plus Instructor

Keisha started climbing as a member of the gyms youth program in 2009, later becoming one of the staff in 2016 when she started coaching the very program she participated in. Her favourite part is being able to share the experience, watch their progression and give back to the climbing community. Her passion for helping new climbers achieve their goals is reflected within her work as an Instructor of the Intro Plus Course. Booking this course does not guarantee you will get to meet our favourite coworker and Keisha’s best friend, her dog Beau. It does however provide you with a positive and engaging way to get into climbing. Sign up with Keisha today!

RIDEAU – WEDNESDAY INTRO PLUS INSTRUCTOR

Rideau started climbing as a child at summer camp and has been climbing in gyms for three years, starting at Junction in London, then becoming a GPS volunteer at Coyote before transitioning to a staff member. She loves sharing her passion for top rope and bouldering with new climbers, sharing the same tips and techniques that helped her climbing progress. In her free time, Rideau heads outside to climb at Luskville or Calabogie, and hangs out with her cat, Klaus. Sign up with Rideau today!
